About the work
Subḥān Allāh, al-ḥamdu li-llāh, Allāhu akbar: three praises written in gold and red calligraphy rest in a calm sky of pale blue and cream, while the right side breaks into a palette-knife storm of ochre, gold, brown and deep red. Stillness and movement on one canvas. Hand-painted in Morocco.
